Single Engine Supply for F1

Is it good news or bad for Formula One racing sports for a single engine supplier to all teams? What's the main purpose of Formula One's existance?

For me, as a loyal F1 fan, I really hope it's not going to happen for this. A single engine supplier for all teams is just like another A1 GP series. It's right for Toyota and Ferrari to voiced their concern for the sake of the sports, and to serve its main purpose in F1, is to provide hi-tech gadget and technologies and shares to the world.

No doubt the curernt financial crisis may put some teams into financial difficulties, but if by mean of sacrificing the sports' aim to accomodate another, I think I would have a better idea to cut cost - Stop the Formula 1 races until financial crisis over, and return when economy is turning better.

At least this way F1 fans would still regard it as F1 race rather than 2nd series of A1 GP! If it's going for the single engine supplier solution, I would quit watching F1 for good! No point in watching 20 or so identical cars with similar engines racing for no reason.

Formula-One Final Countdown

It's a final countdown!

This weekend we will be watching yet another grand finale for World Formula 1 season. Like last year, McLaren Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton is leading a Ferrari's driver, this time round Filipe Massa. Like last year as well, Lewis Hamilton is leading by 7 points.

Last year Lewis threw it away all by himself during the last 2 races, and I think this year history will be repeating itself. No matter how reliable the Mercedes' engine is, no matter how skillful Lewis is, I think pressure will still mount onto Lewis's mind during the race, and he will again somehow or rather throw the race away by himself.

As shown several times this year, Lewis will perform extraordinary under intense pressure, and I don't see any different during this Sunday's race. It's the final race of the season, and by maintaining in the top 5 would be sufficient to secure the world title, but still Lewis is too young and hot headed to remain calm under those intense pressure.

So I pressume, and predicted Filipe Massa to excel over his rival during the final race of the season, and also in front of his home crowds. But there will be plenty of dramas during the race, and we are anticipating helps from various drivers towards Filipe Massa because of the arrogant shown by Lewis Hamilton along the season on and off track.
