BAM Got Tough

BAM has got tough act against those who quit national team. Tan Chun Seang is the unfortunate one to be punished under this. Poor Tan that he now needs to find another way of making a living. But my real question here is why BAM get into such act against Tan Chun Seang, but not other before? Why Chun Seang has to be the scapegoat for this unfair ruling of BAM?

I think BAM has got it all wrong from the beginning. They don't know what they are doing, or what they should do to improve the national team. When Li Mao left BAM as coach, Lee Chong Wei quitted national team claiming BAM doesn't have the quality to help achieve his aims.

My ass! It's all loads of bullshit, and Lee Chong Wei should be punished for his action. It's an insult to BAM, and he thinks a player can be bigger than the organisation. That's why BAM is getting out of control now that a lot of predecessor cases. Now they are punishing aimlessly on someone innocent to try to make things right, but unfortunately, it's too late too little they could do!

Another issue is BAM is too afraid of "Good Players". Lee Chong Wei is the only top single player, and if Lee doesn't play for Malaysia, we would be death and buried before anything started. That's why BAM could close one eye on Lee Chong Wei, Lee Tsuen Seng, but not Tan Chun Seang simply because Chun Seang is still way far below world class player category! Is this fair?

The above reason is also why Malaysia will never ever win in a major tournament because top class player can overrule coach, management, and even have the will to do as they like! The mentality is all wrong from the very beginning, and that's the main reason after so many world champion coaches arrived and left, Malaysia still without a Badminton World Champion!

Same Old Datuk Lee

As expected, Lee Chong Wei lost again to Lin Dan at the Chinese Master. So I am now awaits for his excuses for the lost. What do you think it will be?

Probably he will says too many tournaments he's participated in the last few months and now he's feeling the fatigue. Probably he's gonna say it's game played at China, which Lin Dan has the "home" advantage. Maybe he will say his niggling knee is affecting his game. Maybe the split with Wong Mew Choo has affect his preparation for this tournement. Maybe it's the crowd that affect his game there. Maybe the stadium doesn't suits for the tournament etc......

We've heard too many of excuses given by Datuk Lee and his clown master, Misbun Sidek. These two just couldn't deliver what's expected of them, and it's time for them to behave like a man to admit it's the best they could and Lin Dan is a class above them. That's all! Simple!

Why is Lee CW finding all those excuses for all his loses? A lost is a lost, and you only learn from the mistake or failure. You can't always telling others you are world no.1 and demand respect from others with nothing achieve. I would rather he ranked 100th in the world, but wins an Olympic gold medal or world championship. In Badminton world, ranking doesn't mean a thing because it's not worth what it's worth for! One can be no. 1 by participating all competition without winning, yet the real no. 1 will win all important tournament yet not rank no. 1.

Which one you prefer?

Respect for World No 1

Today's newspaper reads that Misbun Sidek is furious at criticisms thrown at him and his understudy, Lee Chong Wei. He is very unhappy of critics aimed at Lee Chong Wei after his flop performance in Hyderabad.

But common Misbun Sidek! How many times Lee Chong Wei has flopped at the big stage of tournament? How many times you want us to believe that Lee Chong Wei is lacking of luck during tournaments? How can you explain that why Lee Chong Wei always flop at big tourney?

I think there are many of us is fed-up with you Datuk Misbun Sidek, and your bloody Datuk Lee Chong Wei performance. There's always excuses of your failure, and you are demanding for respect of Lee Chong Wei as World No 1? How can Lee Chong Wei gain our respect when he achieved the position by playing virtually all the small potato tournaments?

If you only participate in 4 to 5 really important tournaments per year, wins few of them, and you performed in the really important tournaments, yet you are not no. 1, I think there wouldn't many would blame you for not being No 1. Just look at Lin Dan and Sony Dwi Koncoro

These 2 players are the best at the moment, regardless of their ranking. They can easily out perform Lee Chong Wei at ease simply because they have the urge to compete. Our own Datuk Lee is satisfying with his own achievement up-to-date, and he doesn't really care for World Champion so long he is the WORLD NO 1! On the other hand, Misbun's ability is to bring Chong Wei to where he is now, and there's nothing he could do to help Chong Wei go further!

So can we really hope for a brand new World Champion from the current crop? NO WAY in a million years.

Who Should Responsible

BAM has ordered coaches to give full reports for their recent failure to deliver at Hyderabad World Badminton Championship! So who should take full responsible for this failure? Is the player not up to standard? Is the coaches not good enough?

For me all the failure started within BAM itself. They first allow all the players too much power over the rules. Secondly the incentives given to all the players are way too good for them to feel the pressure of maintaining their standard. Thirdly they always talk big prior to big tournament and all the players don't have the correct mindset to represent the country!

The above 3 reasons itself is enough to destroy all the hardwork put in by all the coaches. I can say we, Malaysia has the best coaches among all the badminton powerhouse, and yet we always fail to deliver. There are a limitation a coach can do to their players, and at the end it all depends on the players themselve to deliver what hardwork put into during training.

Look at Lee Chong Wei, he blamed the BAM coaching staff of not good enough, so opted to train away from BAM. How can a player get to choose his own training coach, venue and others. If this is Indonesia, or China, or even Denmark, I'm sure Lee Chong Wei will be a long gone story! No one is bigger than the organisation itself. Lee Chong Wei thinks World No. 1 is bigger than BAM!

Secondly, Lee Chong Wei's coach, Misbun Sidek is fighting to gain control of BAM coaching staff. If he thinks he can deliver and produce some world class player, why don't he joins in BAM and started the discovery of new young talent with the full backing of BAM resources? This is the thing borders me because my feeling is that he is trying to overpower BAM over player selection! So I will never respect Lee or Misbun for this aspect.

Then comes to BAM, their leadership is a big problem because they always being overpowered by outsiders. Also they never really look into the actual problem, and coaches is always the one getting the boot for failure. They always treated world ranking more important than actual result.

For this I am respecting the Chinese players because they don't bother about world ranking, because if you are good enough, you can win anything from anywhere! Malaysian players just can't do that because they will only win by avoiding strong oponents along the path. Is that how world No. 1 behaved?

So no matter what BAM and government do to help these players, their attitude is the main problem and should be solved before anything! Otherwise it's just a waste of time!

F1 Budget Cap and 2 Tier Technology on Track

F1 is enforcing a budget cap to marginalise some big team, while helping smaller team to excel in a race. I think this is a very stupid idea, and this will cause a lot of F1 fans to divert their interest elsewhere.

Since 50s, F1 is all about technology, and whoever have the most powerful and modern technology shall win the F1 championship because they have the best of the best. One of the team that competed since day one in F1 is Ferrari. Because of their success, FIA is trying anything to pull them back and put them in the back foot in the F1 race.

Ferrari is paying for their huge success in F1, and now they are being targeted. Similar fate goes to Renault, Toyota and McLaren because these are the few teams with huge budget. By implementing a GBP 40 mil cap, I think teams like redbull, Sauber, Force India etc would enjoy a greater technology liniency, while the big team must operate with a limited technology.

This would cause the race to be unfair and from my point of view, Ferrari, Renault and Toyota is very rightly to pull out from F1 for good. This will bring the field to more even technology sharing, and also a more fair races among them.

Max mosley said F1 can survive without Ferrari, and I fully agree. There's no one bigger than the organisation itself, and this applies to FIA as well. But this will cause some inattractiveness to the sport, and many fans would turn their back on the sport because of off field issue, not because of boring races.

As an F1 fan, I would rather watch a boring race, with high technology, rather than watching an uneven and unfair race field of cars. It's like comparing a Proton cars with the luxury of Audi, Merc and BMW. What a pity!

Bias Comments From Pundits

Throughout the last week, I've read a few pundits' comments on BPL championship, and all of them are bias and unprofessional I think. They all have the similar pitiful feeling for Liverpool for not able to snatch over BPL title from Man Utd.

Bear in mind that all these are the consequences of arrogant, cocky, irrespective towards others. Liverpool had enough chances to pull away from Man Utd back in January and they blew it all one after another, whereas Man Utd is grinding out result after result.

All this went unnotice, and being swept under the carpet. All they felt was Liverpool's hauling of record points of potentially just under 90 pts, yet still finished second despite beating Man Utd home and away. All this count for nothing when you could only drew home and away to teams like Stoke and Hull.

If Liverpool does win the championship, I think Rafa Benitez's nose would be shifted to above his bold head. He would go kuku when under pressure, and especially by the team sit above them. That's why he's losing more hair than before because someone always sit on his head. That's why also he will go kuku when they are not winning, let alone losing.

His famous answer of "I don't know!" "Ask the referee" etc has causing his team the pride and arrogance they once possessed. How can you don't know something yet blaming others for your own failure.

And most pundits think Man Utd won this year because of Liverpool's failure, not because of their own effort. How sad these fucking pundits are. They are just a bunch of loser, and their comments are not worth listen to as well. I'm sure everyone has their own team to support and no harm of praising your own supported team, but as a pundits, your comments should be fair to all teams.

From this week's forums, I knew who's the worthy pundits to listen to and who's the sore loser pundits are. If they still think Man Utd win this year due to luck and gifted by others, then they should start to blame themselve being so stupid to support a lousy team, who will never walk alone because loser always stick together!

Light Punishment for McLaren Mercedes

It's been too light the punishment handed out to McLaren Mercedes team, as by looking at their history and what's going on around, it's not the first time they did so, and to be frank, FIA should handed them the heaviest punishment possible, like throw them out from the sport for a certain period of time etc.

What will happen if someone else do the same? I'm very sure they will be taken to the most serious possible punishment because of someone's precedented! This will be unfair to all other teams except McLaren Mercedes, and FIA should not afraid of the treat mercedes warned off prior to the hearing.

From now, and since god damn long ago I always feels that McLaren Mercedes is not a clean team, and they are always been protected by "someone" behind, and that's why they could win the championship so many times. Especially Ron Dennis, he's just such a prick, and because of this lie-gate saga, he quitted the team for the sake of his own reputation.

Chicken ass team really!

EPL Title Stay at OT?

Now Man Utd is leading 3 pts with a game in hand! So is there any chances for Liverpool and Chelsea to catch them up? Why other teams always fell at the last part of the catch up with Man Utd?

Probably Man Utd is getting used to this situation and they can always hold their nerves at the critical stage to fended off their challengers. Another reason is the ever presence of Sir Alex Ferguson. He's been in this situation since 1992, and there's n-th times he's in this situation to know what to expect and do.

The external factor for all this is being the cock mouth bearded Rafa Benitez. He will go yaya when under extreme pressure, and we had witnessed this twice this season, and both time his team fall off the pace of the title chase. From the outburst he directed at others, he doesn't know there's actually extra pressure is being put on the players to win their game. This will definitely affecting their games.

That's why they conceded 8 goals in 2 games, which they scored 8 as well. But that's not good enough for a title challenger. So Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal looks to have more title credential than this stupid bearded Spanish's team!

Last but not least, Liverpool still can't walk out from the Hillsborough disaster phobia!

Another Liverpool flop

After weeks of chasing and close tail gating, we once thought Liverpool will sooner or later overtakes Man Utd and pip them into the EPL title. Just as everyone, especially those pitiful Liverpool fans can see light at the end of tunnel, Wednesday morning's 4-4 draw, the second in 4 days sees their title hope as good as dissappearing.

This time there's some similiarity from their first flop back in January. Like wise, Rafael Benitez just can't keep his asshole mouth shut! He's being critical to Sir Alex Ferguson, being disrespectful to other managers, and show no respect to everyone else but himself. Straight after his outburst, Liverpool flopped terribly and it's all because of the Rafa jinx.

His outburst has put in more pressure for his own team to perform, and when pressure mounted, that's when errors started kicking in! As we can see from both hiccup, it's all because of Rafa's prematured outburst against others that causing his own team's downfall!

Such a pitiful beared Spanish man!

Big Mouthed Rafa Benitez

What's wrong with Rafa Benitez? Can't he concentrate on his own business and not care about others? Just don't understand why Rafa is having a go at Fergie on the eve of their big match against Chelsea.

Does it have any good for his team? Fernando Torres, Stevie G and co should concentrate on Chelsea's quartet of Lampard, Terry, Drogba and co more rather than Fergie. I think that's why Liverpool lost so terribly to Chelsea at home during their Champions' League q-finals 1st leg clash at Anfield.

I felt so disgrace for the way Liverpool lost, and particularly in front of their Anfield supporters before the faithful Hillsbrough disaster week. So if anything Liverpool finish the season empty handed, Rafa Benitez is the one responsible for all these failure.

New contract, new boost? My ass Rafa. You will never walk alone and don't forget you will never win EPL either!

Guns off................

Lie lie Hamilton and Mercedes

It's not the first time McLaren Mercedes lie about something. Probably it's time to serve them hard this time after En Hamilton admitted to lie to steward about the Australian GP incident.

McLaren Mercedes had infamously involved in the spygate saga, and they were penalised for it. Barely a year on, they repeated again and involve in some equally serious liegate saga. FIA should now punish them with the hardest sentence without doubt or else it will serve as precedented case for future conduct for other teams. FIA should not care about the number of cars running on track now and must set a good example of fair and equality and stamp their authority.

Whether Hamilton apologise to whoever, it's too late and too little could be done to the damage caused. A lie is a lie, and lie is always a lie. Hamilton has damaged his own image and reputation and his career will start to go down hill regardless of what his past achievement was. Unless Bernie and Max stated otherwise! These two Brits will sure supporting their countryman I'm sure.

To me, no matter how good or fast the silver arrows, I still think they are just not a respectable team anymore eversince Mika Hakkinen retired from them. They are trying everything legal or illegal to try fence off rivals to win races. They always accusing others of wrong doing whereas their own wrong doings is not a wrong doing.

Kick them out of F1 for the good of F1 please!

Hillsbrough Anniversary

Not disrespectful to those died in the Hillsbrough disaster, but what the fuss is all about it now? After 20 odd years on and people still mentioning about it and avoiding clashes on that day for Liverpool games.

What if the game held on that faithful day? What effect will it have on the game? Can't understand why Liverpool made so much fuss about it! Probably that's why Liverpool always live in their olden days, never move forward. That's why Liverpool stop winning league title for the last 18 years all because of the incident?

I'm ready for all bombarding response from everywhere, but I'm sticking with my view: What the big fuss about the Hillsbrough incident? Live moves on, and so do you pitiful Liverpool and all the fans.....

Liverpool sucks

Don't know who ever says Liverpool facilitated with champions elect quality this season? Don't know who's been so happy to lead the EPL table by christmas? Don't know who's been singing 'We are the champions' no so long ago?

I've been telling all along Liverpool just don't have that kind of character and quality to win the EPL just yet! With Rafael Benitez in charge, you can only dream of winning EPL! Just few weeks ago he opened fires at Sir Alex Furgeson shows he's under extreme pressure to keep the lead, let alone winning the league! Last night's draw against a depleted Wigan side shows just that!

Chelsea possesses more quality and character than Liverpool to win the EPL and also Arsenal although they still lack behind both these teams but not far away! A good team doesn't need to care how other team doing, and also doesn't need to start a war of words with others if they are confident of winning.

So Liverpool fans, Man Utd waited 26 years to win their 1st league title, and hopefully you will not break that record!

Glory glory Man Utd

Man Utd is slowly back to its best, and with the 2nd half of season matches in their favour, I think it will yet be another Man Utd year!

It's been long since we seen such free flowing Man Utd side playing, and it's certainly 1st time this season in the EPL we seen such a Man Utd team! Now that C. Ronaldo is on scoring sheet again, we would expect more from the FIFA world player of the year to perform to a level which won his all the major awards this year.

I still remember just barely a month ago, people started questioning Man Utd's integrity and credibility as defending champions, and also please bear in mind that first half of season Man Utd was playing all the tough games away from home, and still they manage to keep within touching distance of all the top guns.

Now with match vanue in their favour, I can't see any reason other main challengers able to dislodge them from the pinnacle of EPL except themselve throwing it away, which is not what Man Utd ever did before!

So Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal together with Aston Villa, Everton, do not let them run away with the title yet again! Make it a wonderful season although Man Utd does win it at the end!

Malaysia Badminton

we've seen Malaysian shuttlers slowly back to their best with winning 3 titles from the year end GP finals, and also some good outings during last week's Malaysian Open.

Lee Chong Wei successfully defended his title by defeating Korean top shuttler, and Koo-Tan came close to beating Korean top pair again. But overall Malaysian shuttlers performed up to expectation.

However, it's a home tournament, and just wondering if they are able to keep up their performance in this week's Korean Open! (For those who took part) One thing I found out is that Malaysia depend too much on Lee Chong Wei to deliver the results, and now Malaysia is only down to a single and only one world class player.

I think it's not lack of talent, but the way BAM handling these issue. Why are they hold back those bright stars and kept them under wrap? I think it's time to let go all potential players to explore to the world stage to gain as much experience playing different type of players from different countries. That would be the quickest learning curve for player and simplest for BAM to judge which is the potential star in the making!

Rexy is doing exactly that with all doubles now and hopefully we would find more potential players to carryon the trend and make Malaysia proud! China, Indonesia, Korea and Denmark are doing this all the time and I think it's time Malaysia doing the same too!

Chelsea on the declining slope

After last Sunday's defeat at Old Trafford, I think it would probably be the end of Chelsea era, which has been built to the great level by the Special One, Jose Mourinho. Eversince Jose Mourinho left, it will be a tough act to follow by any coach or manager from around the world because Jose has set such a high standard for the club.

Now that Chelsea team is falling apart, it would not surprise me that Roman Abramovich would sell out Chelsea club at this moment of financial crisis time. Chelsea used to be the leader of football transfer market because they can simply get the man they wanted. "Money no object" time has pass by Chelsea and now it's just only time this team really falling apart unless Big Phil can turn things around within a short space of time.

So title race would now unofficially, but almost effectively be down to the straight fight between Liverpool and Manchester United. Of the two teams I would place my bet on Man Utd because of their vast experience in winning EPL titles, also they have the depth in squad, they have the calmness required and most importantly they have someone who know how to win league titles.

Rafa Benitez is a good coach / manager, but he just don't have the coolness that needed for a manager to put out a winning team week in week out! Look at what he commented on Man Utd last week and it's simple to know why! Rafael Benitez is starting to losing it now as what happen to Kevin Keegan back in 1996.

Hopefully 2008-09 title race will be as good as ever, unlike 2000-01 and 2001-02 where teams won the titles with few games to spare.
