Chelsea on the declining slope

After last Sunday's defeat at Old Trafford, I think it would probably be the end of Chelsea era, which has been built to the great level by the Special One, Jose Mourinho. Eversince Jose Mourinho left, it will be a tough act to follow by any coach or manager from around the world because Jose has set such a high standard for the club.

Now that Chelsea team is falling apart, it would not surprise me that Roman Abramovich would sell out Chelsea club at this moment of financial crisis time. Chelsea used to be the leader of football transfer market because they can simply get the man they wanted. "Money no object" time has pass by Chelsea and now it's just only time this team really falling apart unless Big Phil can turn things around within a short space of time.

So title race would now unofficially, but almost effectively be down to the straight fight between Liverpool and Manchester United. Of the two teams I would place my bet on Man Utd because of their vast experience in winning EPL titles, also they have the depth in squad, they have the calmness required and most importantly they have someone who know how to win league titles.

Rafa Benitez is a good coach / manager, but he just don't have the coolness that needed for a manager to put out a winning team week in week out! Look at what he commented on Man Utd last week and it's simple to know why! Rafael Benitez is starting to losing it now as what happen to Kevin Keegan back in 1996.

Hopefully 2008-09 title race will be as good as ever, unlike 2000-01 and 2001-02 where teams won the titles with few games to spare.
