we've seen Malaysian shuttlers slowly back to their best with winning 3 titles from the year end GP finals, and also some good outings during last week's Malaysian Open.
Lee Chong Wei successfully defended his title by defeating Korean top shuttler, and Koo-Tan came close to beating Korean top pair again. But overall Malaysian shuttlers performed up to expectation.
However, it's a home tournament, and just wondering if they are able to keep up their performance in this week's Korean Open! (For those who took part) One thing I found out is that Malaysia depend too much on Lee Chong Wei to deliver the results, and now Malaysia is only down to a single and only one world class player.
I think it's not lack of talent, but the way BAM handling these issue. Why are they hold back those bright stars and kept them under wrap? I think it's time to let go all potential players to explore to the world stage to gain as much experience playing different type of players from different countries. That would be the quickest learning curve for player and simplest for BAM to judge which is the potential star in the making!
Rexy is doing exactly that with all doubles now and hopefully we would find more potential players to carryon the trend and make Malaysia proud! China, Indonesia, Korea and Denmark are doing this all the time and I think it's time Malaysia doing the same too!
